Houston Soccer Tourney 2006

We spent this weekend in Houston - 10 miles West of Katy to be exact - and had a great time with Scuba's soccer buddies as they competed at an all day tournament. The weather was perfect for soccer and just the right temperature for enjoying the outdoors. His team, "Team Tecate" played Open Division and missed advancing to the 2nd day by "1" point. Too bad. But...since we didn't have to worry about playing soccer on Sunday, it gave us the opportunity to kick back on Saturday night. We spent all evening lounging in the hotel hot tub with our friends from the soccer team. We drank some beer, even had a pizza delivered right to us in the hottub. It was fun and relaxing. The drive home was beautiful. We came back via Hwy 71 and saw the bluebonnets all along the highway. Trip took less than 2.5 hours and now we're being lazy. Need to work in the garden some as our snapdragons are already dead from the heat. We went to Howard's Nursery and got Daylilleys to replace them. Ace had a blast outside this weekend and got so much attention he was in full "shake mode" by Saturday. He's glad to be home too and has spent most of the day snoring and sunbathing!
