Josh & Amanda Visit Austin

Our friends, Josh & Amanda made the terk to Austin from Tulsa, OK last weekend. It was so great to see them and we were super excited as they were our first "non-relative" guests in the new house. Our mission was simple. Make sure they have the most amazing time so they will move here! :) I think we wore them out - what a weekend. We tried to pack as much "Austin" as we could in to 48 hours. Hopefully they had fun - we sure did.

We:

Drank on the porch and road the scooter around the neighborhood Friday night
Ate breakfast tacos at Mi Madres
Tooled around UT campus in the VW and took pictures in front of the tower
Shopped on the drag and picked up some new shoes and sunglasses at Urban Outfitters
Had a quick bite at Mitlo's
Splashed around at Barton Springs
Ate snow cones in the heat
Dinner at Guerro's
Shopped the stores on South Congress and got Amanda a great sling bag
Hefewizen at Little Woodrow's
Bar crawl dowtown (the usual haunts - Gingerman, Lavaca, Buffalo, Blind Pig...)
Breakfast at Magnolia Cafe
An educational visit to the Captiol
Walked Ace up Mount Bonnell
A quick board game of 90's Trivia
BBQ Dinner at County Line
Amy's Ice Cream for dessert
And a relaxing evening watching TV and sipping wine

All in all - a blast. A real "clipboard of fun!" You forget what a great city you live in until you start to "re see" it through someone else's eyes! Next up on the list - Josh & Amanda's wedding! See you in Tulsa!
